We Survived 2025
It’s been a hard year for reproductive freedom - but we’re still fighting
Friends – WE DID IT! 2025 is officially coming to a close, and we didn’t just survive – we have continued to fight for reproductive rights, advocate for bodily autonomy and justice, and FUND ABORTION!
Don’t get us wrong, we recognize the struggles of this past year. Whether you’re focused on reproductive rights or any other progressive values, watching decades of progress erode due to actions taken by the current administration is painful. For Repro, we’ve grappled with funding cuts for healthcare, clinic closures, continued attacks on the abortion pill, misinformation, disinformation, pardons of convicted anti-abortion extremists and an energized anti-abortion movement.
But we’ve also had victories – Michigan overturned medically unnecessary restrictions on abortion (including the 24-hour waiting period) under the Reproductive Freedom for All Amendment. Wisconsin elected a pro-choice justice to their state supreme court who blocked a 1849 ban on abortion from taking effect. Activists nationwide have worked diligently to aid patients traveling for care. Abortion funds (like us!) have received thousands in donations from generous donors like YOU that allow us to support patients struggling to afford the care they need. And we did all this despite so many trying to stop us.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant news cycle, the losses, and the lack of legislative power in government – but we are still fighting. We didn’t just survive 2025 – we rose to the moment and have continued to fight for reproductive freedom and justice. For Reclaim, our small, volunteer led abortion fund was able to do this thanks to YOU. So when you’re feeling bogged down by the bad news, remember what we’ve won – and in the face of the most anti-abortion administration in our nation’s history.
From all of us at Reclaim, we THANK YOU for your continued support and the civic actions you all are taking part of in your communities. YOU are what inspire us to keep fighting. YOU are why we are kicking off the new year optimistic and ready to continue this work into 2026. We won’t let the bastards win.
